Artificial Intelligence is at its roots artificial, but it is flooding the internet with lies.

I’m not sure about you, but artificial intelligence is a hot topic in our house. It is one of an handful of topics that my sunny, optimistic outlook clashes with my Kill Switch’s too high a risk to allow full and complete access. This is one of the many reasons why he is the Kill Switch. A Kill Switch’s job is to manage the overall risk and ensure that our information remains as secure as possible.
This week (Thursday to be exact) will be the first session for the Space/Military Intelligence Learning Experience (S/MILE). Starting at the Big Bang and the Very Early Universe, we are going to explore how we have arrived in the place in time where billionaires are using AI bots on social media to manipulate individuals and drive interactions [1].
The truth is that this is nothing new. Social engineering is the oldest trade, leveraged by marketing firms to drive product sales, cult leaders to pull in followers, and every religious movement that has traveled through space and time. The difference between ethical and unethical use of social engineering comes down to several elements:
Is there informed consent to participation?
Are all voices, opinions, and viewpoints valued?
How does the group handle disagreements?
Informed consent
This past year, we came across an acronym for the key aspects of consent – FRIES.
Freely given: Consent should be given without force, pressure, coercion, or manipulation.
Reversible: Consent can be changed at any time.
Informed: You should be fully aware of what you’re agreeing to.
Enthusiastic: You should only do things that you really want to do.
Specific: You should have clearly stated boundaries and limitations.
Consent should surround every interaction you have with individuals. It is not limited to certain relationships or situations, and EXTENDS TO YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH YOUR CHILDREN!!! The parent-child relationship can be very difficult as we navigate allowing our children the autonomy to make their own choices and form their own opinions, but helping them learn how to navigate consent is one of the most important lessons we can teach them.

Voices, Opinions, and Viewpoints
What voices you allow to speak into your life will shape your worldview. This is the basis of social engineering. Whose opinion matters? It is a very slippery slope. Most individuals want to turn off any voice, opinion, or viewpoint that is counter to their own; however, without being open-minded there is no personal growth.
The human condition is finding a balance between being so inward focus that you forget to consider other people and so outward focused that you forget that you are an individual. Each truthful voice, opinion, and viewpoint adds to the story of humanity. The difficult part is weeding through the noise to find the elements of truth.
Disagreements
Working though disagreements on what is fact and what is fiction is where the rubber meets the road. If an individual is unwilling to accept the possibility that they are wrong, you need to run. When everyone has a different story, the truth becomes buried in the noise. Some individuals will choose to just look at the information that makes them feel good about themselves. Others will choose to follow the story that works out for them best. While only a few are willing and able to digest all the information available in order to test viewpoints, this is where the journey in space and military intelligence begins.

Jumping to Hyper Space
AKA “How we are moving and shaking”
Thursday, January 9 · 5:00 – 7:00pm EST – Storytelling Session
I’ll be working with Women’s Society of Cyberjutsu to provide a monthly training AKA Storytelling Sessions with a focus on quantum intelligence, ethical social engineering, and sustainable globalization.

Tuesday, February 25 · 6:00 – 7:00pm EST – Book Club
Using The StoryGraph app, our book club will focus on exploring the feminine side of the universe through science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematic (STEAM) activities, storytelling, and community projects. Learn how to build a more sustainable and kind world by embracing those who are different and uplifting our friends. Our first book will be The Capitalist and the Activist: Corporate Social Activism and the New Business of Change by Tom C. W. Lin.

Coming in March – Ages of Globalization
We are thrilled to invite you to join an extraordinary initiative that promises to transform the educational landscape for students aged 14 and up!
The Ages of Globalization (AOG) is a free, multidisciplinary, interactive course designed to prepare learners from around the world to tackle today’s sustainable development challenges. Inspired by Professor Jeffrey D. Sachs’ groundbreaking book, this course propels students through place and time, merging world history, science, geography, and technology into an immersive educational adventure.
Imagine your students virtually traveling to UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites, where storytelling and exploration bring history to life. This dynamic curriculum is not just about education; it’s about connection and inspiration. Through interactive maps and global classroom connections, students will become explorers on a mission to understand humanity’s interconnectedness, including vital lessons on sustainable development and the pressing challenges of the 21st century.
